To mark Safer Internet Day on Tuesday, February 6th, ConnectSafely.org will host the official U.S. event, “Safer Internet Day 2018: Create, connect and share respect: A better internet starts with you” in Austin, Texas. The event will bring hundreds of Texas middle school and high school students and technology industry leaders for a discussion on internet safety.
The event will feature a keynote speech from FCC Commissioner Mignon Clyburn, Austin ISD superintendent Dr. Cruz and a panel: “Youth & Tech Industry Issues in Perspective.” The panel, moderated by ConnectSafely CEO Larry Magid, features students and industry leaders tackling some of today’s toughest questions about technology, social media & living in a connected world.
