To mark Safer Internet Day on Tuesday, February 9th, ConnectSafely.org will host the official U.S. event, “Safer Internet Day 2016: Play your part for a better Internet” at Universal Studios Hollywood. The event will bring hundreds of California middle school and high school students and technology industry leaders for a discussion on Internet Safety.
The event, live from the Globe Theater, will feature a keynote speech from WWE Superstar Mike “The Miz” Mizanin and a panel: “Rejecting Hate, Building Resilience & Growing the Good Online.” The panel, moderated by activist and student filmmaker Leo Sheng, features student leaders discussing ways they are taking their emotional well-being into their own hands and supporting their peers.
