You’re invited: Safer Internet Day at the Computer History Museum in Silicon Valley

On Tuesday, February 11 ConnectSafely, the official US coordinator of Safer Internet Day, will bring together students, youth leaders, influencers, educators, policy makers, internet safety experts and tech industry executives for a special student-focused event at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View.

Past speakers include Sen. Chuck Schumer, Sen. Kamala Harris and Facebook COO Sheryl Sandberg, as well as local luminaries. Sponsors of the event, which will be live streamed to classrooms around the country, include Google, Microsoft, Facebook, Trend Micro, Comcast and NortonLifeLock. California Governor Gavin Newsom has been invited to keynote, but  — as is common with high-level officials — we’ve not yet received a final confirmation.

If you would like to attend with students, get more information here.

Not in the Bay Area? Join us on the live stream!

The event will be the first of two official live events held in the US in honor of Safer Internet Day, celebrated every February around the world in more than 100 countries.
